The opportunity
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced engineer to shape the way we manage and maintain critical infrastructure.
As the Manager, Maintenance Engineering, you’ll oversee the optimisation of how maintenance is performed, providing technical expertise on complex engineering challenges, and support the delivery of asset programs to increase asset reliability and efficiency. Your work will ensure that Asset Management Plans (AMPs) remain current, data-driven, and focused on long-term asset sustainability.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership, collaboration, and innovation to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
• Provide engineering support and leadership for complex maintenance issues, fault analysis, and escalations.
• Lead the uplift of condition monitoring, integrating predictive analytics, IoT, and SCADA into maintenance practices.
• Support the optimisation of Asset Management Plans (AMPs) to ensure they reflect operational priorities and long-term asset sustainability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance HSEQ performance, resource efficiency, and operational delivery.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and asset management teams to improve asset performance and resolve challenges.
• Leverage data and insights from root cause analysis, fault investigations, and maintenance trends to inform smarter decisions.
Skills & Experience
• Strong background in engineering, with proven experience in asset management, maintenance strategies, and condition monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in root cause investigations, maintenance data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with advanced tools such as predictive analytics, IoT, SCADA, and mobile technologies.
• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline (postgraduate studies or asset management certification desirable).
• Proven ability to manage change, deliver complex projects, and improve HSEQ outcomes.
