We’ve committed to investing $1.2 billion in major projects across our service region over the next four years. Our capital program is essential to meet the growing demand for our services and ensures a secure water supply in the face of climate change see what we are working on.
The Team Leader, Infrastructure Delivery is a member of the Treatment team. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, Treatment the role, overseeing a team of ten. Day to day you will be enabling exceptional service delivery leading a team to deliver on a designated infrastructure works program to time, cost and quality requirements, whilst ensuring safety, reliability, compliance regulated standards for infrastructure quality, water quality, environmental protection and caring for country.
This leadership role will bring to the fore your project management expertise, capability in stakeholder relationships and partnerships, and promoting a culture that places customers first, focuses on high performance and developing our people.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient delivery of a portfolio of mid-to-major capital programs, consistently meeting technical specifications and strategic requirements.
- Lead the adoption of best-practice project management processes while proactively refining workflows in conjunction with asset managers to ensure seamless delivery and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle
- Cultivate and lead a high-performing team dedicated to achieving strategic business objectives and operational excellence.
- Procure and manage delivery partnerships and manage supplier relationships and construction contracts in accordance with GWW requirements.
- Develop and implement processes to ensure all projects have appropriate documented reviews and learnings shared across the group and wider business.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in working with regulators such as Work Safe, EPA and local, state, and federal government departments
- Proven experience in design and infrastructure construction projects
- Program Management, Project Governance and Risk Management experience
- Expertise around the procurement, negotiation, and management of construction contracts
- Confident communicator with a proven track record of engaging senior executives and Boards, alongside powerful soft skills in team management and stakeholder relationship building.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or Business Administration are highly regarded.
- Current driver's license.
