We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious project engineer ready to take their next career step!
You will support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers working on water and wastewater treatment plant projects within Romsey and the surrounds. Your typical day may include managing specific project tasks, completing and organising on site investigations, organising permits, coordinating, and obtaining approvals for site investigations, liaising with key stakeholders and construction partners.
Responsibilities
- Finalising engineering designs, managing approvals processes for progress claims
- Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets
- Finalising business cases and completing/ updating quality and environmental reports
- Managing contracts within the context of supplier performance frameworks
- Managing handover to operations
- Playing a key role in ensuring GWW is delivering our non-negotiables of project delivery (safety, compliance with WSAA, Australian Standards and industry best practice for quality and environmental protection)
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role, from design consultancy, construction, utilities, process plants or project management
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with a diverse group ranging from customers, operators, delivery partners and other government authorities.
- Confidence in assessing site safety on construction sites.
- Technically capable with attention to detail and ability to stay on top of and achieve deadlines.
- This role involves frequent travel within our service region around Romsey and surrounds; a current Victorian driver's license is essential.
- Please note - in this role you will be working with sewer, vaccinations to keep you safe will include Hep A & B, Tetanus, Q Fever.
