The opportunity
We’re looking for a passionate Water Treatment Operator to join our team at our Rosslynne Water Treatment Plant. You’ll help operate and maintain our water capture, treatment, storage, and reticulation infrastructure—ensuring safe and high-quality drinking water is delivered to our communities. This is a great role if you enjoy being hands-on, working in a regional setting, and supporting your community in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water treatment plants, ensuring safe and compliant drinking water supply
- Work collaboratively across sites, supporting on-call rosters (1 in 4) once trained
- Conduct lab testing, site inspections, and data collection to support treatment performance
- Maintain records and documentation in line with regulatory and operational standards
- Follow HACCP, safety, environmental and quality protocols at all times
Skills & Experience
- Experience in the water industry, treatment plants, or a related technical field
- Bachelor of Science or Cert III in Water Operations preferred, but not essential
- Good understanding of treatment processes, safety protocols, and equipment
- Comfortable with manual handling, field inspections, and working with SCADA systems
- Great team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Current Victorian driver’s licence (Essential)
