The opportunity

At Greater Western Water (GWW), we're committed to maintaining stable water bills for our customers. To help achieve this we want to build more effective and efficient ways of working.  We're seeking a passionate and results-oriented Analyst to join our cross-functional Sustainable Efficiency Program team.

We're searching for an individual who thrives on tackling diverse challenges and prioritizes progress over perfection. This role requires someone with a proactive perspective to problem-solving, and the ability to analyse situations with the entire operating enterprise model at the forefront of their work. Success hinges on your ability to partner with stakeholders and identify opportunities to enhance processes and performance.  This program of improvement is not lead by a technology implementation.  We are looking for experience across organisational performance - from improvements to process redesign, delivering on cost reductions, establishing new KPIs or clarifying role responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyse information from a range of sources to examine and quantify business improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges and realise operating efficiencies.
  • Support the creation of artefacts, such as processes, business requirements, business cases, policy, procedures, or training material to enable the delivery of efficiency savings.
  • Contribute to briefing packs, reports or presentations and other artifacts as needed to communicate the progress and intention of the program.
  • Attend and contribute to program meetings and workshops, as required, and support the development of meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.

Skills & Experience

  • Essential experience across implementing operating models.
  • Delivering programs aimed at realising set financial targets from identified organisational operating model efficiencies.
  • Experience in data/information gathering and analysis, and the understanding of enterprise operating models, value streams and capability models.
  • Developing and running workshops
  • Business process mapping, modelling, and improvement
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships complimented by the ability influence others to adopt new practices and processes to realise increased efficiencies for the overall benefit to the organisation and our customers.
  • Desired tertiary qualification related to Business, Business Management, Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant experience.

See yourself thrive!

Our vision for GWW is Thriving People and Country. We aim to be as diverse as the communities we serve and are deeply committed to building a workplace where everybody thrives. We’re supportive, inclusive, and friendly, and value everyone for who they are and what they can bring.

We’re seeking applicants across all cultural backgrounds, genders, and abilities, and will make reasonable adjustments as required, so please talk to us about what you need.

Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply!

Shortlisting will commence during the advertising period, don’t delay your application!

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which will include reference checks, national police checks, and working rights in Australia checks.
