The opportunity

 

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Inventory & Logistics professional to join our Commercial & Contracts team. In this role, you will oversee inventory control and warehouse operations, ensuring our stock is managed efficiently and aligns with operational needs. You will lead and mentor a team, manage supplier relationships, and implement process improvements that enhance service delivery.
 

This role will be crucial in maintaining accurate stock control, minimising waste, and ensuring timely availability of critical inventory. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimise inventory management strategies, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory management and stock control to ensure efficient and accurate supply of materials.
  • Lead and develop the inventory and logistics team, driving performance and engagement.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective inventory procurement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) policies and procedures.
     

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in inventory and logistics management within high-transaction, warehouse, or supply chain environments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to analyse inventory trends and implement cost-effective stock control strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, particularly with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI).
