The opportunity

As the Team Leader, Financial Planning, you’ll lead a high-performing team to deliver GWW’s annual financial plan, provide strategic insights, and drive financial sustainability across the organization. Collaborating closely with senior leaders, you’ll identify and optimize financial opportunities and risks, all while fostering a culture of commercial excellence and continuous improvement.

You bring proven leadership experience, strong commercial acumen, and expertise in financial planning within complex environments. With advanced stakeholder management skills and a knack for solving complex problems, you’ll deliver actionable insights that empower decision-making at all levels. Your strategic thinking and commitment to driving results will ensure GWW achieves its long-term financial goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Financial Planning team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Deliver GWW’s annual financial plan, including scenario analysis and strategic financial insights.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify and optimize financial opportunities and risks.
  • Promote commercial thinking and financial capability across the business.
  • Ensure alignment with GWW’s broader corporate strategies and regulatory obligations.
     

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and CPA/CA membership required.
  • Advanced financial awareness and commercial problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in financial management within a complex corporate or government environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and governance frameworks in the utility sector (highly desirable).
