The opportunity
A great opportunity is now available for a Specialist, Regulatory Operations to provide specialist input into the development, implementation and maintenance of operational business rules that ensure compliance with water industry standards across customer interactions, including billing and collections. This role supports GWW’s regulatory obligations by translating complex regulatory requirements into practical operational processes that deliver fair, transparent, and efficient outcomes for customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operational business rules aligned with water industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed regulatory requirements into customer-facing processes, systems, and policies.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory obligations relating to billing, collections, and customer service.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory operations to support price submissions and regulatory reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance compliance, efficiency, and customer experience.
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks within the water industry or a comparable regulated utility sector, with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational business rules or compliance processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical procedures.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
- Essential tertiary qualification in business, law, commerce, public policy, or a related discipline.
