This role will see you working closely with GWW senior stakeholders, playing a crucial part in shaping GWW’s future strategic direction and enterprise priorities.
 

In this role, you will participate in collaborative forums to generate innovative ideas that will shape long-term strategic plans, benefiting our customers, community, and Country.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic advice on urban water planning and policy for greater Melbourne’s long-term water security.
• Developing, in conjunction with key internal stakeholders, GWW’s consistent advocacy positions concerning key strategic priorities such as water security, Victorian Housing Statement delivery, Traditional Owner self-determination, integrated water management and net zero.
• Working across other metropolitan water corporations and Barwon Water to support the objectives of the Managing Director’s Accord.
• Progressing the program of work activities and reporting to Steering Committees, the executive leadership team and the Board on progress, risks, and opportunities.

Skills & Experience

• Self-starter with keen enthusiasm and demonstrated ability to engage, collaborate, influence, and negotiate agreed outcomes through strong coordination.
• Strong critical thinking and experience in driving strategic direction.
• Experience in delivering complex programs of work within an agile and changing environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills to effectively engage key stakeholders across the organisation.
• Experience in a water utility or the public sector will be highly regarded.
