Due to an internal promotion, we have a unique opportunity to join our Financial Planning & Business Partnering Team as our Senior Financial Analyst on a fixed term basis. Highlight key drivers of our operational and financial performance to assist us in making well informed decisions.

 

  • Fixed-term vacancy until 30th September 2024 (option for 4 days/week)
  • Prepare and co-ordinate budgets, provide support for financial modelling, analyse financial performance, and provide insights.
  • Monthly work life balance day off to treat yourself (if full-time)
  • AT5: $117,962 per annum plus superannuation

The opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Planning & Business Partnering Team! As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide strategic insights to key stakeholders across the enterprise, present information to highlight key drivers of GWW’s operational and financial performance which will assist the business in making well informed decisions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and co-ordinate budgets, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis related to financial reporting
  • Gather, consolidate, and analyse Corporate Plan inputs and provide insights
  • Analyse financial performance, including trends and drivers of customer demand
  • Provide proactive support in financial modelling to solve business problems
  • Reconcile complex data sets, automate manual processes, and develop templates and processes to improve data capture
  • Deliver financial insights and input to a range of cross business projects and programs

 

Skills & Experience

  • Completed a degree or major in Finance or a related discipline, CPA / CA qualified is desired
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, modelling, and analytical skills
  • Advanced excel skills (including macros, Power Query) 
  • Experience working in an internal and external reporting framework 
  • Outstanding people and stakeholder engagement skills complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A curious, inquisitive approach coupled with a commercial mindset and, solutions focused attitude
  • You must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the contract.
