The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Financial Analyst – Investments to support strategic investment decision-making across the organisation.  You’ll play a critical role in evaluating business cases, investment proposals, and strategic initiatives to ensure sound financial justification and alignment with organisational priorities.

 

This role will see you to collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation, contributing to the financial capacity across the business, helping teams make informed, commercially sound decisions to drive value and performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial analysis and evaluation of business cases, including capital investments and strategic projects.
  • Conduct business case reviews, ensuring accuracy, rigour, and alignment with organisational priorities.
  • Develop and refine financial models, including sensitivity analysis, ROI assessments, and benefits realisation.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Strategy, Operations, and Executive teams to align assumptions and validate inputs.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations for governance forums and investment committees.
  • Support long-term planning, capital budgeting, and portfolio prioritisation activities and drive continuous improvement around both investment evaluation and business case frameworks, modelling tools, processes, reporting and, evaluation methodologies.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Finance or related discipline; CPA/CA essential.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment evaluation, or commercial roles.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into insights coupled with a high proficiency in Excel, modelling tools, and major ERP/reporting systems.
  • Proven experience examining and assessing business cases across large or strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and create trust.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey insights clearly to non-financial and executive stakeholders.
