The opportunity

Due to a parental leave vacancy, we now have this exciting Senior Consultant, Health & Wellbeing role available!

The role will see you contribute towards the continuous improvement of a sustainable, positive health and wellbeing experience for all our employees, whilst supporting the advancement of HSEQ cultural maturity ‘Towards Zero’.

You will be an innovative and forward-thinking workplace health and wellbeing specialist with an Allied Health background (or similar role experience within Occupational Rehabilitation or workplace setting).The role contributes to strategic planning, whilst  providing tactical support for the design and implementation of health promotion, occupational health programs, injury prevention, management and RTW services for our employees impacted by injury, illness and/or health conditions.

With your excellent communication skills, proactive and innovative approach to continuous improvement, you will be given autonomy to work cross functionally to support greater performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of internal procedures/processes/education collateral etc to build the capability and literacy of GWW Leaders/Team Members in regard to H&W.
  • Provide injury/illness/health management, Stay/RTW and support services for GWW Team Members, while being the primary and central liaison for the nominated Worker’s Compensation Insurer, for claims management and compliance.
  • Promotion and coordination of Occupational Health activity, such as audiometry, vaccinations and other proactive occupational health assessments.
  • Support the delivery of HSEQ initiatives or projects, including support on risk assessment and related activities, and work to maintain ISO45001 certification.
  • Lead the design and implementation of proactive H&W projects/programs, including content/resource development, facilitation and evaluation.
  • Work cross functionally subject matter experts from across the organisation to deliver sustainable value and risk mitigation (e.g., Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Experience).

 

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety &/or an Allied Health discipline.
  • Occupational Rehabilitation &/or allied health practitioner supporting injury management / return to work / Workers’ Compensation.
  • Proven knowledge and experience working within Victorian W/Comp legislation to ensure obligation are met and exceeded.
  • Experience in a dynamic workplace environment, balancing operational demands with health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Engaging interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Good organisational ability and experience in multi-tasking and meeting targets.
