The opportunity

The Senior Analyst, Prioritisation and Program Benefits is responsible for driving enterprise planning, portfolio governance, and performance reporting to support strategic decision-making and deliver community value. Working within a high-impact team, the role partners with executives and senior leaders to shape annual priorities, develop the corporate plan, and align initiatives to organisational goals. It plays a key role in strengthening portfolio governance and investment prioritisation by maintaining effective business case frameworks and ensuring strategic alignment across programs. The position also delivers enterprise-level reporting and performance insights to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, supporting informed decisions, regulatory compliance, and the achievement of long-term financial, customer, and organisational outcomes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support enterprise planning activities, partnering with executives and senior leaders to shape annual priorities, contribute to the corporate plan, and align sectional and functional plans.
  • Provide insights and analysis to inform enterprise-wide reprioritisation, ensuring leadership has clear visibility of the portfolio of programs and strategic trade-offs.
  • Strengthen enterprise portfolio governance by contributing to frameworks, maintaining fit-for-purpose business case templates, and ensuring initiatives align with strategic objectives and commitments.
  • Support investment prioritisation processes by developing and applying criteria that balance strategic fit, customer outcomes, risk, and return on investment across annual and multi-year planning.
  • Deliver high-quality corporate and enterprise performance reporting, including contributions to the Annual Report and insights for the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and external agencies.
  • Collaborate across teams to track and report on benefits realisation, provide industry insights, and support regulatory processes, including price submission development and customer-informed decision-making.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning capability, with the ability to translate executive vision into clear, actionable enterprise priorities.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise portfolio management, including investment prioritisation, governance frameworks, and alignment to strategic and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven analytical capability, with experience interpreting complex data, tracking performance, and supporting benefits realisation to drive informed decision-making.
  • Experience preparing high-quality corporate reporting, including contributions to Annual Reports and executive-level insights.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally, influence without direct authority, and develop and review robust business cases (opex and capex).
  • Relevant tertiary degree, or equivalent practical experience
