The Opportunity  

As the Senior Advisor, HSEQ Systems & Assurance, your role is critical in ensuring a fit for purpose HSEQ management system, including policies, process, training packages and risk and compliance frameworks. Your work will allow users across the business, to self-serve and access relevant HSEQ information to meet their needs. 

In collaboration with SMEs, you will lead document reviews of our policies, procedures, and training materials on a variety of HSEQ topics, ensuring the language used is simple and accurate.  

Additionally, you will play a key role in HSEQ compliance and assurance, supporting internal and external audits, documenting obligations and developing our risk management framework. 

 

Other Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement management system changes due to changes in requirements such as legislation, standards and codes of practice.   

  • Develop and improve the HSEQ risk management framework including collaboration with the Risk and Resilience team. 

  • Lead and or participate in HSEQ improvement projects.  

  • Manage the publication and control of HSEQ documents. 

  • Drive alignment and ongoing improvement of HSEQ systems and related mechanisms, supporting accessibility and useability of the HSEQ management system, including external facing content. 

  

Skills & Experience  

  • Significant experience in the development and continuous improvement of certified HSEQ management systems (ISO9001, 14001 and 45001). 

  • Demonstrated expertise as a technical writer where you have partnered with diverse groups of stakeholders to understand work processes and document them in simple and accurate language. 

  • A sound working knowledge of Victorian Environmental and OHS legislation, and experience in the interpretation of compliance obligations for practical application. 

  • You’re an expert in stakeholder engagement across all levels of the business 

  • You’re skilled in project management. 

  • You’re willing and able to travel to water treatment plants and maintenance depots within the GWW service area as needed to conduct audits and liaise with SMEs.
