The opportunity

We now have this exciting role available, play an important role as GWW looks to deliver $3 billion worth of projects over the next 10 years within the fastest growth corridor in Australia!

 

You will provide leadership in the delivery and completion of GWW’s programmed works with a focus on ensuring safety, compliance with industry standards, environmental protection, and First Nations heritage. Building and maintaining high-performing delivery partnerships will be essential, as well as fostering a customer-centric culture and focusing on high performance and people development. This position plays a key role in positioning GWW as a leader in the water industry and delivering on the company's Service Delivery Strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a program of major projects from design development, through to delivery and handover
  • Ensure a culture of safety, for self, extending to site, contractors, and community
  • Collaborate and build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including other utilities, Local Councils, VicRoads, other government organizations & Delivery Partners
  • Contract management and administration and, management of budgets and project deadlines 
  • Review and assess contract claim for variations, review impacted contract risks, and prepare business cases

 

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work in a team to achieve agreed outcomes with a positive approach in reaching successful results
  • Good knowledge of project management and the aptitude to work within ambiguity and manage risk mitigation
  • Knowledge of design and construction of assets within water, utilities or government sectors would be highly regarded
  • Outstanding people and stakeholder engagement skills complemented by outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent
