The opportunity
Join our IT Testing & Assurance team in this fixed-term full-time opportunity until 30 June 2027 and play a critical role in delivering major technology transformation programs across GWW.
As Program Test Manager, you'll lead the strategic planning, governance and delivery of end-to-end testing across large-scale enterprise programs. Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders, vendors and senior leaders, you'll ensure technology solutions meet quality, performance, compliance and business requirements before release.
You will oversee program-level test strategy, quality governance, resource allocation, vendor performance and risk management, while leading a high-performing team of Test Analysts, Automation Engineers and delivery partners. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence enterprise testing practices, contribute to the Testing Centre of Excellence and support the successful delivery of GWW's technology transformation roadmap.
Due to the fixed-term nature of this opportunity, candidates with immediate or short notice availability will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Define and govern enterprise test strategies, master test plans and quality frameworks across complex programs.
- Lead program-wide testing delivery, quality gates, defect management and release readiness activities.
- Manage testing resources, budgets, vendors and delivery partners to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Drive enterprise test automation, performance testing and non-functional testing strategies.
- Provide executive-level reporting, risk management and testing assurance to senior stakeholders and steering committees.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience leading enterprise-scale testing programs within complex technology environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing testing teams, vendor partners and program budgets.
- Deep expertise in test strategy, quality assurance, test automation and defect governance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience influencing senior executives and program leaders.
- Experience working across Agile, DevOps and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
