The opportunity

This leadership role in the People, Culture & Safety team at Greater Western Water (GWW) holds the accountability for embedding the Workplace Relations and Governance operating model and providing Employee Relations and Industrial Relations services to GWW.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Workplace Relations & Governance team, including coaching and performance management
  • Develop and implement a new Industrial Relations strategy
  • Prepare strategy for upcoming Enterprise Agreement negotiations
  • Manage relationships with representative unions and consultative committees
  • Oversee employee relations, workplace investigations, and generalist HR support
  • Lead remuneration strategy, processes, and reporting
  • Develop HR policies and ensure governance compliance
  • Build ER capability and align initiatives with organisational goals
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Centres of Excellence

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in industrial/employee relations, including union management and EA negotiations
  • Skilled in complex case and performance management
  • Experience representing organisations at the Fair Work Commission
  • Effective senior stakeholder engagement, coaching, and consulting
  • Expertise in policy development and EA interpretation
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of remuneration frameworks
  • Skilled in policy design and implementation
