The opportunity
As Manager, Talent Acquisition (TA) at Greater Western Water (GWW), you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future workforce through the sourcing of talent across the business.
You will work across the enterprise in providing exceptional customer service on a range of talent sourcing and recruitment services. On a day-to-day basis, you will oversee all talent acquisition activities which include leading a small team of three TA consultants, managing a portfolio of vacancies, applying your extensive continuous improvement experience to take the function to the next level, acting as the key liaison for GWW in the management of external vendor relationships to ensure effectiveness of sourcing strategies. You will oversee the governance for GWW’s contingent workforce and ensure a structured, compliant, and cost-effective approach.

Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and implement GWW’s Talent Sourcing Strategy to deliver best practice talent solutions inclusive of identification, attraction, and acquisition.
- Own the entire recruitment lifecycle to ensure an exceptional candidate experience to attract, acquire and retain the best talent.
- Lead, coach and mentor the Talent Acquisition Team to provide the best possible sourcing service.
- Continue to build on our continuous improvement vision through identification of efficiency opportunities, development of processes for recruitment activities, improving and streamlining processes ensuring an efficient, streamlined recruitment approach.
- Management of State Purchasing Contract panel agency arrangements.
- Management of Contingent Workforce governance processes which includes the development and enforcement guidelines on contingent workforce cost, including managing and reviewing rates to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and within budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure alignment to the Victorian Government State Purchasing Contract sourcing panel. Negotiate, review, and manage the terms and conditions of contracts with recruitment agencies outside of the panel where exceptions are approved, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and best practices.
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to drive efficiency and continuous improvement in a talent acquisition leadership role.
- Extensive experience in the development and enforcement guidelines on contingent workforce cost, including managing and reviewing rates to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and within budgetary constraints, pervious exposure to a Purchasing Contract panel would be advantageous.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure alignment to SPC sourcing panel. Negotiate, review, and manage the terms and conditions of contracts with recruitment agencies outside of the panel where exceptions are approved, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and best practices.
- Ability to build and cultivate an innovative culture in an operational context.
- Experience in delivering continuous improvements in an operational function, driving efficiency and automation.
- Effective and impactful leadership and coaching experience, coupled with a background of leading people through change or transformation.
- Strong problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills
- Extensive experience steering operations teams within or outside of a HR function, with a focus on governance and managing service level agreements.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple, time sensitive priorities in a fast-paced environment alongside exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
