The opportunity
A compelling leadership opportunity is now available for a Lead, Strategic Portfolio Management to drive enterprise-wide strategic planning, portfolio governance, and performance management aligned with GWW’s corporate objectives and price submission commitments. Collaborating closely with the Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders, this role strengthens executive decision‑making by delivering robust frameworks, insightful analysis, and independent advice on prioritisation, investment outcomes, and enterprise performance. This is a great opportunity to shape investment by connecting strategy with delivery and help GWW to achieve it’s strategic purpose and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support executive sponsors and ELT to develop annual enterprise priorities and contribute to development of the corporate plan.
- Establish and apply governance frameworks that define roles, responsibilities, decision‑making pathways, and performance measures across projects and programs.
- Assess project and program goals, benefits, and impacts to ensure alignment with GWW’s strategic objectives and price submission commitments.
- Develop and apply prioritisation criteria and processes that consider strategic fit, customer willingness to pay, resource needs, risk, and return on investment.
- Support delivery of enterprise performance reporting for the executive leadership team and the Board.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise level strategic planning, including establishing priorities.
- Ability to facilitate and support executive-level discussions and decision-making, particularly in dynamic and complex environments.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, particularly with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading cross-enterprise initiatives and driving change and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
