The opportunity
In this newly created role, you will support the development and design of the Program of Works in the Major Infrastructure Program Delivery (MIPD). Day to day you will oversee the management of technical partners, coordinate project activities with key stakeholders and project teams to ensure that (GWW) Major Works Capital Delivery Program is delivered in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
You will leverage your expertise to ensure the safety, quality, and financial success of our construction infrastructure projects, while also ensuring all commercial and compliance requirements are met.
You'll work in close collaboration with the MIPD Team Leaders and other internal partners to enhance the quality and efficiency of the project delivery pipeline. This includes managing project escalations to deliver optimal solutions and ensuring all changes and new approaches effectively mitigate risk.

Responsibilities
- Ensures the successful development of the GWW Major Works Capital Delivery Program, supporting the planning, design and assurance of the program pipeline, ensuring integration and alignment between project teams, asset delivery sections, and other key GWW stakeholders.
- Ensure the MIPD program pipeline of works is being developed safely, efficiently, effectively and consistently across the teams.
- Support management of the MIPD program delivery budget, schedule and risk register in line with approvals and delegation of authority.
- Work collaboratively with counterparts across Asset Delivery Lifecycle to support the allocation of the future pipeline of projects.
- Proactively manage and support the development of the project program, ensuring project teams are across all key issues.
- Ensure all work of the team members is performed in accordance with the current relevant standards, codes and legislation.
- Support the successful procurement and management of technical/design partnerships and supplier relationships in accordance with GWW requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in project development and/or design management within construction/ civil infrastructure/ operational delivery is essential.
- Outstanding communication expertise and exceptional influencing and leadership skills to build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Proven experience working effectively with regulators, government stakeholders, and with community groups.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to manage, prioritise and drive critical outcomes.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to both the executive and board.
- Post graduate qualification in Project Management or Construction Management will be highly regarded.
