The opportunity

This role provides an opportunity to lead and strengthen governance for the Path Out program at a critical point in its delivery. Reporting to the Manager Governance and Reporting, the Lead, Governance will ensure the program has robust oversight aligned to its risk and profile. The role will drive implementation of recommendations from the Nous Independent Review and the KPMG Post-Implementation Review, support strong integration stakeholders, and establish effective governance mechanisms to ensure Path Out demonstrates best-practice governance.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement fit-for-purpose governance and assurance frameworks for Path Out, aligned with Enterprise Steering Committee and ITD governance.
  • Ensure implementation of recommendations from the Nous Independent Review and the KPMG Post-Implementation Review.
  • Embed and assure effective governance across streams, working closely with stream leads, the Customer Experience lead, and project managers.
  • Conduct ongoing governance assurance, oversee external assurance where required, and report on governance effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement of governance arrangements to support program outcomes.
  • Partner with ITD governance to apply best-practice system governance across all Path Out system components

 

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of program and project management, risk management, stakeholder management, and governance establishment aligned to best practice.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and implementing governance frameworks.
  • Experience working in regulated environments.
  • Proven capability in project and program management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
