The opportunity
Join GWW in this new role!
Reporting to the Manager, Compliance and Controls, you will work across the enterprise to support the development of frameworks, toolkits, and processes to enable timely and effective enterprise assurance oversight and management.
You will oversee the design and execution of the enterprise control library and verification program to ensure full regulatory and business compliance, promote continuous improvement through regular control effectiveness assessments, audits and reviews, and triage enterprise control issues and identification of control ownership.
Responsibilities
- Support the enterprise compliance assessment process associated with industry regulations and company policies through development of a control verification and validation program to test compliance against relevant standards, regulations, and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain assurance and control verification and validation systems.
- Provide specialist advice, knowledge and expertise with control owners.
- Accountable for control documentation including procedure and verification evidence artefacts and relevant training material to ensure control owners meet the required obligations.
- Support the Senior Manager in designing and implementing control processes to mitigate operational and financial risks.
Skills & Experience
- Solid experience in complex, regulated environments, combined with knowledge on control testing systems, functions and lifecycle.
- Knowledge of risk and control assurance methodologies, including control design, testing, and effectiveness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex control processes, suggest improvements and apply a pragmatic and robust approach to compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a systematic approach to documentation and evidence gathering.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
