The opportunity

We now have this exciting opportunity available due to a parental leave vacancy.  Dive into the water industry and gain exposure within the critical essential services environment and enhance your IT skillset.

Working in our Enterprise Security Team, the Information Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and detecting cyber threats and implementing security measures for the protection of GWW information, technology, and digital systems.

You will collaborate closely with the broader team to ensure effective and efficient controls are in place to keep GWW information and underlying IT & Digital solutions safe.

This role will require the successful candidate to participate in the on-call roster – one week per month.

Responsibilities

• Analyse changing security requirements across the whole lifecycle of all security products and solutions, to ensure these are fit for purpose to manage key risks and issues, this includes assist in installation and upgrades.
• Assist in technical solutions development and new security tools building to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Actively monitor, detect, triage, analyse and respond to security events and incidents.
• Liaise with security vendors to gather, analyse, build, and maintain security measures.
• Collaborate with technical specialists and leads and provide support on network and systems safeguarding.

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge on security products (example SIEM and SOAR, EDR, Email security, and Cloud security technologies, Azure Sentinel, and exposure to Crowdstrike and Tenable would be desirable)
• Demonstrated understanding of MITRE framework and knowledge on Microsoft solutions and architecture
• Experience in implementation and operation of security controls.
• Good understanding of Information Technology practices such as networking, asset management, application development or IT service desk
• Driven by a commitment to understanding the latest security threats and implementing effective solutions.
