The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic individual to help implement GWW’s strategy by providing strong governance across our infrastructure portfolio, ensuring the right programs and projects are delivered on time to meet strategic goals. You will lead the development of effective infrastructure partnerships and supplier management practices, aligned with business objectives. Additionally, you will support the General Manager in fostering a customer-first culture, promoting high performance, safety leadership, and the development of our people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive oversight of the infrastructure portfolio, ensuring visibility into performance, time, cost, risk, and benefits, while supporting key decision-making bodies through investment prioritisation, analysis, and recommendations.
- Enable effective governance and performance management across Growth & Infrastructure and Asset Planning teams by delivering project controls, resource management, value management, and continuous improvement of portfolio governance practices.
- Provide strategic recommendations on future delivery models, including procurement approach, business readiness, and implementation planning, to align with GWW’s objectives.
- Lead the development and procurement of delivery models as part of a transformation program, ensuring business readiness, governance, change management, and supplier performance management frameworks are in place to achieve objectives.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, internal & external to drive programme delivery
Skills & Experience
- Apply best practice portfolio governance, assurance methodologies, and portfolio management practices.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen in investment value management, contract procurement, and commercial models.
- Utilise senior leadership experience to manage complex, regulated environments while building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Extensive senior leadership experience in managing complex infrastructure portfolios, ensuring prudent investment decisions and benefit realisation.
- Expertise in capability building, continuous improvement, and applying complex problem-solving techniques.
- Lead and coach teams, focusing on development, performance management, and continuous improvement.
- Drive successful capability uplift and the delivery of high-performance outcomes.
- Proven ability to foster a culture that prioritises safety, innovation, and organisational change.
- Strong track record of driving successful outcomes in dynamic and challenging environments.
