The opportunity

This fixed term opportunity is available from 1/4/2026 to 31/5/2027 to cover a parental leave backfill.

 

As a key member of the Financial Control team, you will provide the business with key financial information that supports decision making, support our compliance reporting obligations to various external agencies, and provide accurate and timely monthly financial reporting activities in line with GWW’s monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting.

 

Responsibilities

Monthly and Quarterly Financial reporting

  • Contribute to the month end close and consolidation of monthly reporting and variance analysis against budget / forecasts. 
  • Contribute to the input, co-ordination and preparation of monthly finance business report and quarterly business overview, including financial ratios & KPIs and DTF & DEECA presentations.
  • Prepare budget and forecast for selected income statement and balance sheet accounts
  • Providing other administrative and finance support as required including any ad hoc matters.

 

Statutory reporting 

  • Assist in the preparation of GWW’s Annual Financial Statements in line with DTF and DEECA’s reporting requirements, including relevant disclosure notes. 
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with VAGO during the external audit of the financial statements.
  • Preparation and submission of GWW’s other regulatory and government reporting, including SRIM’s submissions and quarterly reporting. 

 

Compliance

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial accounting policies, position papers and guidance papers and advice, that align with legislative, statutory and company requirements and support the business’s stance on significant accounting and business transactions.
  • Inform and educate relevant stakeholders and Finance team members of policy requirements and ensure continued awareness.
  • Support the preparation and submission on the Annual Regulatory Accounts
  • Contribute to uplift in financial acumen across GWW
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancement initiatives
  • Providing backup support and assistance to the wider Finance team as and when required.

 

 

Skills & Experience

  • Financial Accounting
  • Commercial Acumen & Budget Management 
  • CPA/ICA accreditation
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards  
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines combined with a strong attention to detail
  • Consistent delivery of high quality, accurate and timely reporting
  • Experience in statutory reporting
