The opportunity
Join a high-impact, future-focused program in this fixed-term full-time opportunity until 30 October 2026, where you’ll help shape the long-term direction of wastewater and recycled water services across one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions.
You will work with our Integrated Asset Planning team as an Engineer, Sewage Treatment Planning, where you’ll support the long-term planning and optimisation of sewage treatment and recycled water assets.
Working closely with the Team Leader and stakeholders across operations, strategy and delivery, you will contribute to master planning, identify future growth and upgrade needs, and help balance cost, risk and performance outcomes.
You’ll play a key role in shaping sustainable infrastructure solutions by supporting planning, optimisation and innovation initiatives, while helping ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and community expectations.
***Remuneration will be commensurate with the skills, experience, qualifications, and licences demonstrated throughout the assessment process.
Responsibilities
- Support development of master plans for sewage treatment and recycled water plants aligned to future growth and strategy
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, optimisation opportunities and improvement initiatives
- Assist in scoping, initiating and supporting projects across the asset lifecycle
- Contribute to asset management planning and optimisation programs across treatment plants
- Analyse and interpret data to support planning, forecasting and decision-making
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or relevant industry experience
- Experience in sewage treatment, recycled water or related process engineering/operations
- Understanding of asset planning, treatment plant upgrades and optimisation initiatives
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to support planning and decision-making
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
