As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the ongoing performance, safety, and compliance of our electrical assets - from switchboards and MCCs to drives, motors, and backup power systems, while also reviewing designs and documentation to ensure maintainability and compliance
You’ll oversee maintenance strategies, condition monitoring, and fault response while working closely with operators, technicians, and contractors across a diverse network of treatment plants and field assets.
This is a hands-on engineering role where your technical expertise directly supports reliable service delivery, compliance with electrical safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Develop, monitor, and optimize preventative and predictive electrical maintenance programs
• Support condition monitoring, fault analysis, and asset health assessments to drive proactive maintenance and inform lifecycle planning
• Provide technical expertise during breakdowns, shutdowns, and complex electrical faults
• Review electrical designs, drawings, and project documentation for maintainability and compliance
• Contribute to the development of electrical standards, work instructions, and procedures
• Partner with internal teams, contractors, and project delivery to enable safe, reliable operations and long-term asset performance.
Skills & Experience
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential)
• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance or reliability engineering
• Strong understanding of LV and HV systems, MCCs, VSDs, and backup power systems
• Working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and electrical safety standards
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems, instrumentation, and control systems
• Skilled in fault analysis, reliability improvement, and documentation management
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• White Card (or ability to obtain) and current Australian driver’s license (required)
