The opportunity

We are seeking a Development Officer to enhance our commitment to sustainable land development across GWW service area. The ideal candidate will assess development applications, planning referrals, and engineering plans to evaluate their impacts on water and sewer infrastructure. Additionally, this role will involve providing technical advice to internal teams, developers, consultants, and local government agencies, ensuring that all new developments meet our requirements and contribute to a sustainable future. Responsibilities

  • Process Land Development applications and prepare contractual conditions for customers within Greater Western Water’s set target times
  • Process Town Planning and Certification Subdivision Referrals
  • Maintain systems, standards and procedures to ensure the work is carried out within time limitations.
  • Provide support and advice to internal and external customers. (Connections and Metering, Councils, Developers, Consultants, Surveyors and General Public)

 

Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge on processing Development Works Offers and Non-Works Offers.
  • Experience in the application of policies, practices, procedures and strategies relating to the Land Development Industry
  • A working knowledge and awareness of policies, practices, procedures and strategies relating to development and related approvals.
  • Experience in a technical role and knowledge of GIS.
