The opportunity
The Data Analyst will be responsible for delivering comprehensive reporting and analysis that empowers teams throughout Greater Western Water to make informed decisions. Collaborating closely with stakeholders from the Customer, Asset, and People, Culture & Safety teams, the Analyst will develop innovative solutions that promote data-driven strategies. Additionally, the role involves providing support and guidance to embedded Analysts within various business units, enhancing data utilisation and fostering a culture of data literacy across the organisation.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities for analytics, creating impactful data visualisations and reports in Power BI while ensuring data accuracy and usability.
· Engage with business stakeholders to enhance reporting and analytics, build relationships to identify opportunities, showcase the team’s work, and provide training as needed.
· Promote innovation and continuous improvement through a data-driven culture while actively managing data assets and governance in collaboration with DnA Team Leaders.
Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field - Solid experience working in an analytical role
· Advanced skills in Power BI, DAX, and SQL
· Experience in dashboard design and data visualisation
· In-depth understanding of data models (such as star schemas) and business metrics
· Strong aptitude for structured problem-solving
· Exceptional skills in stakeholder management
