The opportunity

The purpose of the Chain of Ponds Litter Action Coordinator Role is to facilitate a reduction in the incidence and impact of litter in the Moonee Ponds Creek.

 

The Chain of Ponds Litter Action Coordinator will work from an agreed Plan and will be supported by the Lead to achieve the desired outcomes.

  

Duties

  • Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports to support the function of the Litter Working Group
  • Meet with councils and agencies to discuss local and regional litter “hotspots” and what actions are being taken to reduce the impact
  • Update the Chain of Ponds website with Litter Working Group progress and annual reports
  • Assist in organising the activities of the Chain of Ponds Litter Working Group.
  • Engage with the Wurundjeri Woi wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation on litter projects as appropriate and in conjunction with the Chain of Ponds Collaboration Lead

 

Skills & Experience

  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Environmental/ Water/ Waste Management/ Litter Management or Project Management or Behavioural Change would be highly regarded
  • An understanding of existing legislation, regulations and policies regarding litter and pollution in Victoria
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate, engage and work collaboratively with multiple diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to deliver on agreed objectives
