The opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Asset Data Officer to join our Asset Information team at GWW. You will be responsible for recording, maintaining, and reviewing spatial and asset-related data to support accurate decision-making across the organisation. Your work will directly contribute to the integrity of our asset information systems and help ensure reliable service to our customers and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Capture, import, and validate As Constructed (AsCon) information.
  • Create and maintain both linear and non-linear asset data across our spatial and asset databases.
  • File, store, and manage associated documentation, manuals, and metadata to support long-term asset integrity.
  • Assist in the ongoing enhancement and improvement of our spatial and asset data platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Information team to support business users with accurate, accessible, and high-quality asset data

 

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working with GIS, AutoCAD and asset management information systems.
  • Previous demonstrated GIS capture skills using Open Spatial’s Munsys / Enlighten platforms (highly desirable)
  • Strong skills in spatial data handling, data entry, and quality control.
  • Understanding of asset documentation, AsCon information, or linear/non-linear asset structures (advantageous).
  • Strong organisational skills, the ability to manage large volumes of data and documents and meet agreed KPIs.
  • A proactive mindset, commitment to continual improvement, and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
