The opportunity

Working in the IT&D PMO (Planning and Investment) team you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping portfolio-level financial and performance reporting across information technology and digital transformation initiatives. Partnering closely with Finance, Project Managers, Business Analysts and senior stakeholders you’ll deliver accurate, timely and trusted insights into project financials and performance.

 

Your contributions will strengthen financial discipline, drive accountability for delivery and enable early identification of risks and issues. Through consistent reporting, effective governance and a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll help elevate PMO maturity, reinforce investment assurance and support transparent, data-driven decision-making,ultimately enabling the delivery of measurable organisational and customer value.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly financial processes, including accruals, reconciliations and financial close activities
  • Partner with Project Managers to manage end-to-end project financials (budgets, forecasts, actuals and variations)
  • Ensure accurate milestone billing, invoicing and cashflow tracking aligned to project delivery
  • Contribute to business cases and project changes, providing guidance on cost structures, assumptions and financial treatment (Capex, Opex, Cloud)
  • Deliver financial reporting and analysis to provide visibility of performance, inform governance forums and identify emerging risks.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in project and portfolio financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, accruals, journals and variance analysis
  • Solid understanding of PMO and financial governance frameworks, including stage gates, project variations and escalation pathways
  • Knowledge of asset accounting principles and cost treatment across Capex, Opex and Cloud environments
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills essential and experience in Power BI or similar tools to deliver insights, dashboards and reporting
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, influence outcomes and work collaboratively across teams
