The opportunity

We’re seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our high-performing Commercial team at Greater Western Water. In this key role, you’ll deliver insights and analysis that drive commercial performance across water maintenance, minor capital works, and strategic procurement activities.

Working closely with stakeholders from Finance, Legal, Procurement and the broader business, you'll help develop commercial models, assess business cases, and monitor contract performance. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring value for money and delivering great outcomes for our customers and community.

 

Responsibilities

·       Provide expert commercial analysis and reporting across service delivery contracts

·       Develop and maintain financial models and performance dashboards

·       Partner with teams to uplift commercial frameworks and contract management practices

·       Identify and mitigate commercial risks through monitoring and collaboration

·       Support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives

 

Skills & Experience

·       Proven experience in commercial or contract analysis within a complex environment

·       Strong financial modelling and data analysis skills (Power BI/Tableau experience desirable)

·       High attention to detail with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

·       Knowledge of contract obligations, pricing models, and commercial frameworks

·       Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, finance, or a related field
