The opportunity  

We now have this exciting opportunity to join the Facilities, Fleet and Physical Security team! 

As the Physical Security Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing and coordinating Greater Western Waters physical security standard operating procedures and providing strategic advice to both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the organisation's physical security. You'll work as part of the broader facilities team spanning facilities, fleet and physical security, to deliver a greater physical security presence at Greater Western Waters facilities. 

The role will see you work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure physical security procedures are followed to reach to business outcomes, while also managing opportunities and risks associated with Greater Western Water's operations and reputation.

Responsibilities 

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while implementing physical security processes and procedures 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. 
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) policies and procedures. 
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and asset management teams to improve asset performance and resolve challenges. 
  • Actively monitor and analyse physical security platforms events and incidents. 

 

Skills & Experience 

  • Experience with using Avigilon (CCTV) and Gallagher (Access Control)
  • Experience with developing standard operating procedures  
  • Strong relationship skills to liaise with internal and external stake holders 
  • An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutions. 
  • Experience in hands on design, maintenance of physical security control systems and practices.
