The opportunity

The Administrator, People Services will support our People Services team in managing employee-related tasks such as onboarding, internal movements, reporting and conduct integrity checks between the HR Information System (HRIS) and payroll systems. This role is essential in ensuring that employee records are accurately created and updated. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills are essential for this position.

 

Responsibilities

  • Initiate onboarding and hiring for new employees at Greater Western Water, ensuring a smooth experience with identification verification and transferring payroll information for their first pay.
  • Manage secondments, fixed-term contracts, and extended leave status.
  • Ensure accurate storage and quarterly verification of employee information and leave integrations between HRIS and Payroll systems.
  • Assist the People Services and Payroll Team with administration tasks while embodying our Culture Model behaviours.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Cert III in Business Administration (or equivalent experience in an office environment).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment, ensuring team members are well-informed about progress and actions taken.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative tasks, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Basic excel skills
