The opportunity 
Lead a high-performing maintenance engineering team delivering safe, efficient and reliable maintenance across water, recycled water and wastewater treatment plants. This role provides leadership, technical direction, and strategic oversight for maintenance programs across critical infrastructure, ensuring asset reliability, performance and compliance.
You’ll work collaboratively with Operations, Reliability, and SCADA teams to optimise maintenance strategies, drive fault analysis and improvement initiatives, and build a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities
•    Lead and coach a multidisciplinary maintenance engineering team.
•    Oversee planned and responsive maintenance programs across treatment assets.
•    Drive root cause analysis and embed long-term reliability improvements.
•    Optimise maintenance work packaging, sequencing and delivery efficiency.
•    Promote safety leadership and compliance with environmental, OH&S and quality standards.
•    Leverage data and condition monitoring insights to inform maintenance strategies.
•    Partner across Operations, Reliability and Capital Delivery to ensure seamless integration and performance outcomes.

 

Skills & Experience
•    Proven leadership in maintenance or engineering within a utility or process-driven environment.
•    Strong understanding of treatment plant operations, reliability and asset management.
•    Demonstrated experience in fault investigation, root cause analysis and program optimisation.
•    Skilled in stakeholder engagement and contractor management.
•    Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related).
•    Driver’s License (required)
