The opportunity

We’re looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Services and Control Systems team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain critical water and sewer treatment infrastructure that supports the health and wellbeing of our growing communities.

You’ll carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance activities across a variety of sites, working with pumps, valves, blowers, and related mechanical systems. You’ll be part of a high-performing, safety-first team that values reliability, teamwork and continuous improvement. Every day brings something different—whether it's fault-finding, breakdown work or planned maintenance, you’ll play a key role in keeping our assets running smoothly.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned, corrective and reactive maintenance on water and sewer infrastructure
  • Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs on pumps, valves and blowers
  • Collaborate with electrical, SCADA and treatment teams to maintain asset performance
  • Complete work orders, maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety procedures
  •  Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance operations

 

Skills & Experience

  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or equivalent mechanical qualification (Essential)
  • Experience in pump systems and industrial mechanical maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork and high-quality service delivery
