The opportunity

The purpose of the position is to provide front-line Contractor Management to deliver on the Asset Management Plan objectives across all GWW Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, and other Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) assets, ensuring operational service levels, ongoing site compliance, and alignment with contractor governance for a consistent maintenance delivery model, position will work with the GWW Maintenance Services and Control System Team.
This role will also require travel to various GWW Sewer and Water sites to obtain asset information and manage M&E maintenance activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with maintenance coordinators & team leaders to deliver on weekly scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Regularly meet with operations teams to understand maintenance work practices in the field and how they can be improved.
  • Engage and lead external contractors to complete works as per GWW safety standards.
  • Coordinate annual review and implementation of continuous improvement actions from the AMP’s.
  • Develop scope of work and raise PO’s.
  • Develop responsive work actions plans and protocols.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Significant asset management experience in operations and maintenance with experience with M&E Assets preferred  
  • The ability to effectively communicate and build relationships at all levels with internal & external stakeholders
  • Ability to excel as an autonomous worker as well as a team player
  • Sound knowledge of equipment relating to Sewage/Water
  • Financial management of Budgets/Forecasts/Accruals
  • Working knowledge of AMMS (Asset Maintenance and Management System)
